Frequently Asked Questions
PIANO LESSONS
My child is not enrolled in FFG - Can I still enroll in piano lessons?
At the moment, piano lessons are only available to students already enrolled in FFG on Mondays or Thursdays. Students not enrolled in FFG are encouraged to take lessons at our location in Butchers Hill (100 S Washington St)!
I don't have a piano at home. Can I still enroll in piano lessons?
Students should have an instrument at home for practicing between lessons. You may enroll in a trial period without an instrument, but if you would like to enroll in the full session, you will need to acquire an instrument. We can loan small keyboards for a fully refundable deposit of $250.
My child can't make all of the scheduled lessons in the session. Do I still have to pay the full amount?
Yes, we do not offer prorated tuition unless a student joins a session late. In order to attract and retain high quality instructors, we guarantee the same schedule and compensation each week of the session, and therefore we ask families to commit the same day/time slot each week.
If my child is sick or has to be absent, can I get a refund or reschedule?
Unfortunately, due to the complicated nature of our schedule, we cannot issue refunds for absences or illnesses. Students may switch to a virtual lesson at the same day/time slot when they are sick, or you may schedule a lesson "swap" with another family enrolled in the program. We will provide a "swap sheet" to facilitate these swaps, but it is the family's responsibility to organize the swap. Each student will receive a once-per-semester Missed Lesson Credit which can be applied as a discount to a future semester's tuition.
Can I pay for my lessons monthly?
Unfortunately, we are not able to accept tuition on a monthly basis. We offer a payment plan option through PayPal called Pay in 4. This splits the tuition into 4 equal installments paid every 2 weeks. There is no credit check or interest charge, but there is a 3% transaction fee for this option.
